Copy a variable

Overview

A variable definition and formatting can be copied from the same variable group or from other variable groups.

Required Role(s)

• Project Management

Steps to copy a variable from the same variable group

1. Open the Variable Group Update page (click here for steps)
2. Select Variables in the left panel
3. Click the copy button  to the right of the variable that is to be copied
4. Click Save or Save and Return to save the changes

Steps to copy a variable from a different variable group

1. Open the Variable Group Update page (click here for steps) for the variable group where the variable is to be copied into
2. Select Copy Variables in the left panel
3. Copy the variable(s) per the steps here
4. Click Save or Save and Return to save the changes
