Notification Emails

Overview

Notification emails can be sent to a subject when the subject is due for an encounter.

Required Role(s)

  • Subject Management 
  • Subject Administration
  • Project Management 

Setup

  • Notification attribute is enabled in the Portal
  • Portal Options in the interval allows subjects to create the encounter and the Send Due Notifications is enabled
  • Subject's Account Update page has Receive Encounter Due Notifications enabled


Notification emails are sent to subjects as follows:

  • The first notification email is sent at the encounter's Begin Date
  • The second notification email is sent at the encounter's Target Date


Emails are only sent when the following conditions are met:

  • The portal attribute is turned on to send out notifications
  • The interval is noted for subjects to receive a notification
  • The interval is noted that subjects can create the encounter
  • The encounter has not occurred
  • The subject's account settings are checked for Receive Encounter Due Notifications

  • An email address is specified for the subject on their Account Update page
