Preview (Variable Group)

The Preview tab of the Variable Group Update page displays how the form will look in data entry and helps with formatting the variables.

Perform Validation: Checking this box will validate the entries similar to data entry
Show Actions Menu: Checking this box will display the Actions box that contains Clear Answer and History links
Show Columns: Displays the left and right column locations to help in designing the variable group
Show Prompt/Answer: Displays the prompt and answer widths to help in designing the variable group
Pixel Ruler: A ruler with pixels to help in designing the placement of variables
Variable Group Preview: Displays how the variable group will look in data entry

As applicable, use the appropriate checkbox and pixel ruler to design the variable layout
