Select Universal Variables

Overview
Universal variables are collected once and can be used across all projects. The universal variables available to all projects are defined through System Setup and assigned to individual projects through the Select Universal Variables page.
If subjects are enrolled in multiple projects the universal variables only need to be entered once
Content
- Included Variables tab
- Lists the universal variables that are part of the project
- Initially all universal variables are assigned to a project
- Variable Finder tab
- Used to add or remove universal variables from the project
Actions
The Select Universal Variables page is accessed through the button to the right of Subject Variables
Icon | Action |
|---|---|
| Clicking the Find Usages icon next to a variable will indicate where the variable is being used This is helpful when you want to un-assign a variable but the button is grayed out |
| Clicking the Delete icon will unassign the universal variable from the project |
| A gray Delete icon indicates the variable is in use within the project and cannot be deleted Clicking the Find Usages icon will indicate where the variable is being used |
