Potential causes 

• When your account was created, an email was sent with a link to validate your account and that link was not clicked, but the person creating your account entered a password. 
• Your account had been verified at one time but has been set to 'not verified.'

• Click the "Resend" link on the page with the error 
• Click the link in the email you receive
