Change variable group layout

Overview

A layout of horizontal, vertical, or matrix can be assigned to all the variables in the variable group

Required Role(s)

  • Project Management

Steps

  1. Open the Variable Group Update page (click here for steps)
  2. Select Layout in the left panel
  3. Select the Layout Template Type to apply to the variable group (see examples below)
    1. Horizontal and None:  display the prompt and answer on one line
    2. Vertical:  displays the prompt above the answer
    3. Matrix:  displays pick list options as column headings and only applies to pick list or radio button variable types
    4. User Defined:  no longer supported
  4. Select Preview in the left panel to preview the form
  5. Select Save or Save and Return
