below the data entry prompt

Applies to Pick List or Radio Button type variables where the pick list options are displayed above the radio buttons

A horizontal layout is the most common layout

A vertical layout is ideal for use when the
data entry prompts are long

A Matrix layout is ideal for use when most of the form contains Pick List or Radio Button variables with the same pick list options

A User Defined layout requires HTML to create a custom layout.  This option is available to accomodate prior versions of StudyTRAX, however, it should not be used in version 3.0 or greater.  To obtain a custom layout of your form use the Layout tab of the Variable Group Update page.
