This page describes how to remove a subject from a project. 

Note

Removing a subject from a project will delete their audit trail history and allow them to be deleted from the database if they are not enrolled in any other studies.

Steps


If test subjects are being deleted and the project is in Test Mode, delete subjects using Bulk Data Tools to clear out the audit trail.


Note

Be very careful when removing subjects from a project as the step is not recoverable.


From the Subject Overview Page

  1. Go to the Subject Overview page for the subject to be removed
  2. Verify the project name is the project from which the subject is to be removed
  3. Open the Sidebar
  4. Click Remove From Project
  5. Do not proceed if you do not understand the data loss warning
  6. Confirm the Reference ID of the subject to be removed
  7. If Change Reason is enabled in the project, enter the Change Reason
  8. Click Remove

From the Project Overview Page

  1. Click Projects in the main menu
  2. Click on the project name
  3. Click the Data Management toolbar button
  4. Select the Subjects tab in the left panel
  5. Locate the subject that is to be removed
    1. Click on a column heading to sort by that column
    2. Click on a column heading a second time to reverse sort by that column
    3. An up or down arrow next to a column heading will indicate that the list is sorted by that column, a down arrow indicates a sort from a to z and a an ascending sort  and an up arrow indicates a descending sort from z to a
    4. Use the paging at the bottom of the page to scroll through the list
  6. Click on the appropriate subject's Reference ID
  7. Click on the Remove Subject from From Project toolbar button
  8. After selecting the delete icon for a subject you will be given a message to verify you want to remove Do not proceed if you do not understand the data loss warning
  9. Click OK if you understand the data loss warning and want to proceed with removing the subject from the project

IMPORTANT



Be very careful when deleting subjects as the step is not recoverable and all the subject's data will be removed, including the audit trail history
