Variable Groups

The Variable Groups tab of the Project Overview page contains all the variable groups that are collected in the project.

Assign/un-assign universal subject variables to the project by clicking on the Assign icon
Create a new variable group by clicking on the Add icon
Edit an existing variable group by clicking on the variable group name
Edit all the Project or Encounter variable groups at once (e.g., to change their display order) by clicking on the Edit icon
Import a variable group (from an XML file or from another project) by clicking on the Import icon
Export all the Project Variable Groups or Encounter Variable Groups by clicking on the Export icon
Find the usages of a variable group by clicking the Find Usages icon
Export a variable group by clicking on the Export icon next to the variable group name
Copy a variable group by clicking on the Copy icon next to the variable group name
Delete a variable group by clicking on the Delete icon next to the variable group name

A gray delete icon
indicates the variable group cannot be deleted as it is in use, click on the Find Usages icon to see where the variable group is being used
