Add Medications Into The Central List

Overview

This page describes how to add medications into the central list so they are available to add as subject medications.

Required Role(s)

  • Medication Management

Steps

  1. Select Medications in the main menu
  2. Select Medications in the left panel
  3. Click the green +
  4. Complete the fields on the Attributes tab
    1. Trade Name:  If the medication is generic, the generic name will be entered here and in the Generic Name field
    2. Generic Name
    3. Description (optional)
    4. Code:  must be unique with no special characters and cannot begin with a numeric
    5. Unit of Measure:  select from the drop-down list
  5. Optionally add Medication Classes
  6. Select Save and Return in the toolbar
