Overview

The Customer Update page contains the attributes of the customer account. 

Each customer account in the StudyTRAX installation is completely separate from other customer accounts.


Content

  • ID:  A unique ID assigned by the application

    The ID is visible after the customer account is created

  • Name: A unique name for the customer account
  • Description:  An optional description of the customer account
  • Reference ID Template:  The Template that will be used if Reference ID's are to be automatically generated
  • Generate Reference ID: Controls the behavior of the Reference ID field when adding a new subject to the system. If set to "Force", the Reference ID will be always be generated when a new subject is added to the system. If set to "Allow", the Reference ID will be generated if the user does not enter a Reference ID. If set to "No", the user will be forced to enter a Reference ID when adding a new subject to the system.
  • Is Reference Id Editable:  This box is checked by default indicating that users can edit the Reference ID.  Uncheck the box if users should not be able to edit the Reference ID's.
  • Min Password Length:  The minimum password length that users' passwords must have
  • Days Password Is Valid:  The number of days before a user is required to change their password
  • Password Non-Repeat Count:  The number of unique passwords before a password can be re-used
  • Hide Inaccessible Universal Variables: 
    • Attribute checked
      • New Subject
        • Name fields are not displayed
      • Subject Search across all projects
        • Show name information only if the subject is in a project configured to show name information, and the user has access to that project and the subject's site
        • Show project level information (Project Id, data completion status, etc.) only if subject is in a project / site the user has access to.
        • For all other subjects, show Reference ID, but not name information 
      • Subject Search within a project
        • Only find subjects in the sites the user has access to
        • Show name if the project is configured to show names
    • Attribute not checked
      • New Subject
        • Name fields are displayed if the user has access to at least one project that includes subject names within the customer account
      • Subject Search across All Projects
        • Subjects that are not in any project have their name information displayed only if the user has access to a project configured to show name information within the customer account
        • Show project level information (Project Id, data completion status, etc.) only if subject is in a project / site the user has access to.
        • If subject is in a project, display subject name information only if the subject is in at least one project configured to show name information and the user has access to that project at the subject's site
      • Subject Search within a project 
        • Only find subjects in the sites the user has access to
        • Show name if the project is configured to show names

Note: Searching by name information does not match a subject if name information is not displayed based on the above rules.


  • Default Date Format: 

    The common option to select is Default

    With the Default option selected the date format for all users will follow the date format of the server.  If a specific date format is selected, then the date format for all users will follow that format.

  • License Key: You will receive a license key from ScienceTRAX Support if one is required in this field. 

    Most installations will not have a license key in this field and will only need a license key when a project is created.
