Overview

A subject's account will be locked when the maximum failed login attempts is exceeded.

Notes

The failed login attempts are the total number of attempts to login with an incorrect password since the last successful login.  After the 5th failed login attempt the account is locked.   At the 6th attempt the system will display a note on the screen that the account is locked.  An email will be sent to the email address associated with the account indicating that the account is locked with a link to unlock the account.  Clicking on the link will set the failed login attempts to 0.  At that point you can continue to try to log in or request a password reset.

This process is the same for user accounts and subject accounts.
