Notes

This page describes how to delete a subject's encounter.

Deleting a subject's encounter will delete the audit trail history for that encounter.

Required Role(s)

  • Project Management

Condition(s) and Steps

Must have a Project Management role

Be very careful when deleting a subject's encounter as the step is not recoverable and all the subject's data from that encounter will be removed, including the audit trail.

  1. Click Projects in the main menu
  2. Click on the project name
  3. Click the Data Management toolbar button
  4. Select the Subjects tab in the left panel
  5. Locate the subject
    1. Click on a column heading to sort by that column
    2. Click on a column heading a second time to reverse sort by that column
    3. An up or down arrow next to a column heading will indicate that the list is sorted by that column, a down arrow indicates an ascending sort  and a up arrow indicates a descending sort
    4. Use the paging at the bottom of the page to scroll through the list
  6. Click on the subject's Reference ID
  7. Click on the delete icon to the right of the encounter to delete
  8. After selecting the delete icon for an encounter you will be given a message to verify you want to delete the encounter
