Overview

This page describes how to create an Excel workbook with subject data so it can be imported into a project.

Required Role(s)

Steps

  1. The first row of the worksheet(s) must contain the variable codes

See the list of System Variables that can be imported

Columns prefaced with a # are ignored in the import process

  2. Subject data is listed on rows 2 and greater
  3. When importing categorical variables (radio buttons or pick list type variables) use the pick list values, not the pick list name
  4. Import Universal or Project data
    1. The worksheet name must be Subject
    2. Minimum required column headings (variable codes)
      1. ReferenceID
      2. SiteCode
      3. ProjectSpecificID (if enabled in the project configuration)
  5.  Import Encounter data
    1. The worksheet name must match the interval being imported into
    2. Each interval is on its own worksheet

If importing into a non-fixed interval there cannot be more than one encounter with the same encounter date for a subject (StudyTRAX cannot tell if you are creating a new encounter or adding to an existing non-fixed encounter)

    3. Minimum required column headings (variable codes)
      1. ReferenceID
      2. EncounterDate
  6. Import Subject Medications
  • No labels
