Overview

Double data entry in a project allows a selected list of encounter variables or a selected group of subjects to be double data entered.

Required Role(s)

  • Project Management

Steps

  1. Enable the Double Data Entry feature
    1. From the Project Overview page, select Edit Project to navigate to the Project Update page
    2. Select the Features tab
    3. Check the box for Double Data Entry
    4. Select Save and Return
  2. Select the variables to be double data entered
    1. From the Variable Group Update page, select the Attributes tab
    2. Check the box for Allow Double Data Entry
    3. Mark the variables that will be double data entered on the selected variable group
      1. If all variables on the variable group will be double data entered, click on Flag all variables for double data entry
      2. If a subset of variables on the variable group will be double data entered:
        1. Select the Variables tab
        2. Click on a variable name to be double data entered to open the Variable Update page
        3. Check the box for Allow Double Data Entry
        4. Click on Continue
    4. Save the changes
  3. Add the double data entry role to the users
    1. From the Project Overview page, select the Users tab
    2. Click on the username of the user to be given the double data entry role
    3. Check the box for the following role:  Subject Management - Secondary (Double Data Entry)
    4. Select Save and Return
  4. Select the subjects to be double data entered
    1. Subjects enrolled prior to adding the double data entry feature will not be automatically set for double data entry
    2. Subjects enrolled after adding the double data entry feature will default to have Double Data Entry enabled
    3. To change a subject's double data entry status:
      1. From the Subject Overview page, select the Edit Subject toolbar button
      2. Check / un-check the box for Allow Double Data Entry
      3. Click the Save and Return toolbar button
