The Workspace Update page contains the basic attributes of the Workspace

Content

  • Name:  The name of the Workspace
  • Description:  An optional description of the Workspace
  • Active:  A checkmark indicates the Workspace is still active
  • Public:  A checkmark indicates that

    all users will see and have access to the Workspace. TipOnly users

    Workspace is public within the customer account 


Workspace Access

  • Workspaces that are public: All users within the customer's account will have access to the workspace as long as the user has a Data Set Management role in at least one study
  • Workspaces that are not public: Only users that have been assigned as a user within the workspace will have access to the workspace.

Users that have access to a workspace will have the following functionality:

  • Users that have roles within a project in the workspace, but not a Data Set Management role AND users that do not have any role within a project in the workspace:
    • Will not be able to export data sets or view the Data Set Update page

    • Will not see any data when the report is exported
    • Will have access to the Users tab and can add/remove users from the Workspace
    • Will have access to files uploaded in the Files tab and can add/remove files
  • Users that have a Data Set Management role within a project in the workspace

    • Are able to export data sets and view the Data Set Update page for projects with a Data Set Management role

    can create new or see existing data sets for projects to which they have access.

    • When a report is exported, will see data in tables only for projects where they have a Data Set Management role

    • Will have access to the Users tab and can add/remove users from the Workspace

    • Will have access to files uploaded in the Files tab and can add/remove files
