Using Studytrax

Overview

Studytrax is a web-based application and there are some items to note about the navigation within Studytrax.

Suggestions to follow

Do:
  • Navigate within the application
  • Allow a page to completely load before clicking again
  • Single-click

  • If opening more than one window, each window MUST be a separate session

    The best way to assure separate sessions is to use a different browser for each login.  For example, open one Studytrax session in Chrome and another session in Firefox.

  • Click logout when completed in the application
  • If Studytrax automatically logs you out due to inactivity, close the browser and re-open a new browser
  • Frequently click on Save when entering data (there is no auto-save)
  • Wait for all processing to finish before clicking another option (e.g., exporting data sets)

 

Don't:
  • Do not use the Back button of the browser (if there is a Back button in the Studytrax toolbar that is fine to use)
  • Do not double-click
  • Do not close the browser before logging out 
  • Do not used Ctrl-N or a another tab to open another session of Studytrax
