Overview

A follow-up interval is indicated as a fixed interval and occurs only once (e.g. Month 6, Year 1).  The target length of the interval and the actual Baseline date determine the projected date of the follow-up interval.

Steps

Attributes tab

  1. Enter a name for the interval
  2. The Active box is checked by default indicating the interval is active
  3. The Fixed Interval box is checked by default 
  4. Enter the Target Length which is the time between the interval designated as baseline and this interval
  5. Select the units for the target length from the drop down box
  6. Enter the Before Target Range and After Target Range

    The Before and After Target Range values determine the Earliest and Latest projected dates for data entry

  7. Select the units from the drop down box for the before and after target range
  8. Optionally enter instructions for the subject that will display when they enter this encounter.

    This section only displays in projects with the Subject Login feature enabled

   
 
 
Variable Groups tab
 

  1. Mark the checkbox in the Include column for the variable groups that will be collected at this interval
  2. Mark the checkbox in the Entered By Subject column for variable groups that will be entered by the subject

    This column is only displayed in projects with Subject Login enabled

 Interval Expression tab

  1. Enter a dependency that is specific to this interval
  2. Enter a dependency that goes across variable groups

    Dependencies that are specific to a variable group are entered on the Dependencies tab of the Variable Group Update page
