Overview

This option is only available in Test Mode. The tool will allow the removal of test data from the project which will clear the audit trail. Optionally, the subjects can be deleted, if they are not in another project, Project ID sequence numbers can be reset, and Randomization can be reset. Project IDs and Randomization only applies in projects where those features are turned on. This feature is used before placing a project into Production Mode. It is also used during testing when changes are needed to variable definitions as the audit trail needs to be cleared.

Required Role(s)

  • Project Management

Steps

  1. From the Project Overview page, select Data Management in the toolbar

  2. Select Bulk Data Tools in the left panel

  3. In the Remove All Subjects section:

    1. Check the box for Delete subjects from the system if they are enrolled in this project to delete the subjects in addition to removing them from the project. It is common to check this box prior to placing a project into Production Mode. If the subjects are being removed to clear the audit trail, then it is not necessary to delete the subjects as they can be re-enrolled into the project.
