Overview
This page describes how to create an Excel workbook with subject data so it can be imported into a project.
Required Role(s)
- Project Management (required to import data)
Steps
- The first row of the worksheet(s) must contain the variable codes
See the list of System Variables that can be imported
Columns prefaced with a # are ignored in the import process
- Subject data is listed on rows 2 and greater
- When importing categorical variables (radio buttons or pick list type variables) use the pick list values, not the pick list name
- Import Universal or Project data
- The worksheet name must be Subject
- Minimum required column headings (variable codes)
- ReferenceID
- SiteCode
- ProjectSpecificID (if enabled in the project configuration)
- Import Encounter data
- The worksheet name must match the interval being imported into
- Each interval is on its own worksheet
If importing into a non-fixed interval and there is more than one encounter with the same encounter date for a subject utilize the Encounter Sequence.
- Minimum required column headings (variable codes)
- ReferenceID
- EncounterDate (required if new encounter or for a non-fixed encounter without an encounter sequence)
- Import Subject Medications
- The worksheet name must be SubjectMedication
- Minimum required column headings (variable codes)
- ReferenceID
- Trade Name
- Begin Date
- Medication Dose
The dose should be in the Unit of Measure defined for the medication
- Times Per Day
