Conditional Formatting to hide a table cell or image

Overview

Conditional formatting can be used to hide a table cell or on an image based on a condition. 


Adding conditional formatting to a table cell or image

  1. Select the item to hide
    1. Image: click on the image where the conditional formatting is to be added
    2. Table cell: click within in the cell then click on td (bottom of screen) 
  2. Click the Conditional Formatting button 
  3. Click New
  4. Enter a name for the condition
  5. Enter a condition using JavaScript (e.g. #sex==1) for which the item should NOT display
  6. Visible:  Uncheck the Visible box indicating the item hides when the condition is true
  7. Click Ok when completed 


Modifying / Viewing conditional formatting on a table cell or image

  1. Click on the item (td or image) with the conditional formatting
  2. Click the Conditional Formatting button 
  3. Modify the conditional formatting as applicable
  4. Click Delete to remove the conditional formatting on the image
