Deleting a subject's encounter will delete the audit trail history for the variable's in that encounter.

Note

Be very careful when deleting a subject's encounter as the step is not recoverable and all the subject's data from that encounter will be removed , including (the audit trail is retained).

Method 1

  1. Go to the Subject Overview for the subject with the encounter to delete
  2. Click on the Details button in the toolbar and then on the Encounters tab
  3. Click the Delete icon (circle with X) for the encounter to delete.

Method 2

  1. Click Projects in the main menu
  2. Click on the project name
  3. Click the Data Management toolbar button
  4. Select the Subjects tab in the left panel
  5. Locate the subject
    1. Click on a column heading to sort by that column
    2. Click on a column heading a second time to reverse sort by that column
    3. An up or down arrow next to a column heading will indicate that the list is sorted by that column, a down arrow indicates an ascending sort and an up arrow indicates a descending sort
    4. Use the paging at the bottom of the page to scroll through the list
  6. Click on the subject's Reference ID
  7. Click on the delete icon to the right of the encounter to delete
  8. After selecting the delete icon for an encounter you will be given a message to verify you want to delete the encounter
