Overview

A non-fixed interval is used for data collected over time without a pre-determined schedule (for example:  clinic e.g., clinic visits, surgeries).

Required Role(s)

  1. Enter a name for the interval
  2. The Active box is checked by default indicating the interval is active
  3. Uncheck the Fixed Interval box
  4. Select the Interval Type
    1. Follow-up
    2. Screening
  5. Select the units for the target length from the drop down box
  6. Enter the Before Target Range and Enter the After Target Range

    The Before and After Target Range values determine the Earliest and Latest projected dates for data entry value determines the time period when subjects can access the encounter. 

  7. Select the units from the drop down box for the before and after target range

  1. Check the box for Allow Subjects To Create if subjects can create the encounter.

  2. Optionally enter instructions for the subject that will display when they enter this encounter.
